With a twinkle in her eye, Madame M will introduce you to the instruments of the orchestra and their animal counterparts in Prokofiev’s timeless Peter and the Wolf.
Also on the bill is Benjamin Britten’s mini-masterpiece The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra, a set of stunningly witty vignettes for each instrumental group, rounded by a dazzling fugue. To conclude, experience Janáček’smagical tale of love and fantasy The Cunning Little Vixen and a Star Wars-like adventure featuring the famous Polovtsian dances from Borodin’s Prince Igor.
