In Production: Putting on a Play

Costumes and costume designs from the Performing Arts Collection

18 May – 16 July

Festival Theatre Foyer Showcases

Seeing a show is exciting. When the show is really good you forget that you are watching people perform live on stage. But, how does this happen?

With kids in mind, the In Production exhibition introduces the jobs and concepts needed to put on a show. On display are costumes and costume designs from Scapin, King Golgrutha, Song of the Seals and Me and My Girl by designers by Dean Hills, Mark Thompson, Ken Wilby and Anna Curtis; wigs and greasepaint; behind the scenes props and lighting from the Performing Arts Collection.
