Sun Music headdress designed by Kenneth Rowell, The Australian Ballet, 1968

Sun Music was premiered by The Australian Ballet in 1968 and was performed at Her Majesty’s Theatre that same year. With a score written by Peter Sculthorpe, choreography by Robert Helpmann and designs by Kenneth Rowell, Sun Music is a contemporary ballet focused on Australia’s relationship with the weather and the earth.
