Richard Wagner’s Der Ring des Nibelungen (The Ring Cycle) was produced by State Opera South Australia for the Festival Theatre stage in 2004. It was the first all-Australian production of the four Der Ring des Nibelungen operas. Sung in German with spectacular stage effects, it was the largest theatrical event produced in Australia and attracted Wagner enthusiasts from around the world.
