Uncle Reginald Dodd, known as Reg, is an Arabunna Elder, cultural custodian and artist. Born on Finniss Springs Mission, at the southern end of Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre he is based in Marree, South Australia. He uses photography as his primary arts medium and as a way of drawing the viewers eye to look closer to see the beauty of Country and own the shared responsibility of its care.
Uncle Reg was the Cultural Consultant on Terrain, a work choreographed by Frances Rings in 2012 inspired by Australia's great inland sea and performed by Bangarra Dance Theatre, Australia.
In 2019, Uncle Reg was recognised for his extraordinary service to the Indigenous community of Marree with a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) and South Australia's Senior Australian of the Year Award.
