The incredible support of our donors is the driving force behind the achievements of Adelaide Festival Centre Foundation. 

We are delighted to share Impact 2024, which celebrates the remarkable achievements of the Foundation's 25th anniversary year and our most successful year to date! This report is a tribute to what we have accomplished together and to the transformative role donors play in South Australia's arts community. 

Within these pages, you’ll see how the support of our donors has fuelled programs that expand access to the arts for regional students, nurture the growth of emerging artists, and elevate our renowned festivals. Each story highlights the enduring impact of our donor's generosity and dedication. 

Looking ahead, the continued partnership of our donor community remains essential to creating a thriving arts landscape for generations to come.  Thank you to our donors for their unwavering belief and for helping us build a future where Arts for All is not just an ideal, but a reality. 

Impact offers insights into the areas donors support has influenced in 2024, including:

  • Access and Inclusion: creating inclusive arts experiences for schools and communities requiring additional support.
  • Education: nurturing creative learning opportunities for schools and young individuals.
  • Emerging Artists: fostering the development and growth of up-and-coming artists, ensuring continued sector expansion.
  • Career Development: empowering arts professionals to enhance their skills and contribute to the mentorship and education of a new generation of talent.
  • Commissioning New Work: supporting the creation, adaptation, and presentation of performances that captivate audiences.
  • Collection: conserving, digitising and exhibiting the Performing Arts Collections that contribute to our cultural heritage.

Adelaide Festival Centre Foundation has supported a range of projects including: 

TIX for All

TIX for ALL initiative ensures that everyone, regardless of social or economic factors, can access and enjoy the arts.

Nathaniel O’Brien Class of Cabaret Scholarship

Enables a regional student in years 10 or 11 to take part in the Class of Cabaret program, which culminates in a performance outcome during Adelaide Cabaret Festival.

Children’s Artspace

Children's Artspace is a place for all people to come together, and enjoy art created by, with, and for children. The program showcases a year-round exhibition program of leading South Australian artists working with children, young people, and community to create new artwork and share stories.

On Stage Performing Arts Program

In 2024, On Stage offered workshops including improvisation, circus, dance and musical theatre. A new focus expanded On Stage’s offerings to include hands-on opportunities for aspiring technical theatre professionals.

inSPACE Development Program

2024 marks 22 years of inSPACE, a platform dedicated to exploring what it means to support independent artists. Serving as an incubator for new, cutting-edge work, inSPACE showcases South Australia’s most exciting and talented artists.
