Do you remember the first time you saw a live performance? Sitting in the theatre, how exciting it was for the lights to dim and the curtain to rise? Some children may never have this opportunity. But together we have the power to change that.
As Christmas approaches, we're reminded of the power of theatre—a place where dreams come alive, laughter and tears intertwine, and wonder takes centre stage.
For many of my students, [Chicago] was their first experience of a musical or any form of live theatre. For some it was their first time at the Festival Centre. Many of our students rarely visit the city. Theatre is at its most vibrant and valuable when it’s for everyone. Theatre lets you see a person transform on stage, which makes the possibility of transformation for you seem possible. The experiential learning benefits for my students are extremely significant, and the positive impact on their wellbeing is undeniable.

Adelaide Festival Centre is more than just entertainment; we're a community that inspires artists and audiences of tomorrow. We're the heart of the arts in South Australia.
I have been able to push almost all my fear of being different aside and recognise that being different is great and makes me who I want to be.
This Christmas, you can support our Giving Tree in the Festival Theatre Foyer or Dunstan Playhouse Foyer by hanging a heart on one of our Giving Trees.

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. Together, we can ensure that the magic and wonder of theatre continues to inspire the artists and audiences of tomorrow.
I just want to say thank you for the opportunity. It’s a cool experience to be able to do this and get together as a community and see a really beautiful show.
