Jasper Van Gelder, Colour My Garden, stop motion animation,1:24
My name is Jasper Van Gelder, I'm 12 years old and I am proud to be neurodivergent. I am an Adelaide based artist and I enjoy making stop motion films and drawing as a creative and emotional outlet. My art usually uses colour and metaphors to express emotion and doesn't have much talking if any. I have always used art to express my emotions or experiences when I couldn't say them with words- I would draw them different colours and types of ways I would use those colours. I hope one day my art inspires others to be seen and creative in the best quirky way for them!
Kangaroo Island Community Education (KICE) Penneshaw 7/8 Class, Eight-Frame Walk, 00:32
The Year 7/8 class, at Kangaroo Island Community Education (KICE) Penneshaw, created a series of character sketches, brought to life through the eight-frame walking technique.
With the support of a visiting animator, Bill Northcott, we developed a character and brought them to life using an eight-frame walk. We were amazed at the magic of such a seemingly simple technique to bring movement and energy to our little characters. – Airlie, Georgie, Isla, Zach, James, Cedar and Scott
