Celebrating 25 years of impact!

We celebrated Adelaide Festival Centre Foundations 25th birthday and recognised the incredible impact of our donors and supporters. Thank you to everyone who made this milestone possible, we're grateful for your continued support as we look forward to the next 25 years.

Vanguard Launch

Recently launched by Adelaide Festival Centre Foundation, Vanguard is an exciting new initiative designed to engage young arts enthusiasts and emerging philanthropists. Vanguard aims to foster a new generation of supporters who are passionate about the arts and committed to helping shape the future of South Australia's cultural landscape at  Adelaide Festival Centre. 

Behind the scenes with our Exhibitions and Collections

Throughout the year, donors were invited along to a range of behind-the-scenes experiences with our Exhibitions and Collections team. These included; 1974: Stage two, where guests heard stories and looked at never-before-seen treasures from our archives including jewellery worn by South Australia 1920’s opera singer Clara Serena. Exhibitions presented as part of OzAsia Festival including Reuniting Cargoes: underwater Cultural Heritage from the Maritime Silk and Spice Route, Wish you were here by Vivian Ho and Hello, how am I? By Jessie Hui. 

Behind the scenes with inSPACE

Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the curtain at Adelaide Festival Centre? On Friday 24 May 2024, Adelaide Festival Centre Foundation hosted an exclusive after-hours event where supporters received the inside scoop and discovered the world of inSPACE, a creative incubator for South Australia’s most talented and exciting independent artists. Supporters mingled with future-forward artists as they heard their inspiring stories firsthand from Jamie Hornsby and Lina Limosani.

Guests were treated with tunes by DJ Tr!p and drinks from Coriole Vineyards.

Artistic Director’s Fund Long Lunch 2024

On Thursday 2 May 2024, on the Dunstan Playhouse Stage, Adelaide Festival Centre Foundation celebrated our Artistic Director’s Fund Donors. Guests enjoyed an exclusive performance from Slava Grigoryan and world-renowned guitarist Carl Orr, as well as an insightful discussion between Alex Sinclair and Australian playwright Yve Blake, about how her hit musical FANGIRLS got its start at Adelaide Cabaret Festival. Donors were treated to lunch from Out In The Paddock and wines from Coriole Vineyards.

Donations to the Artistic Director’s Fund support scholarship opportunities for emerging talents, theatre workshops for young people, commissioning exciting new works, free and accessible programs and much more.

A big thank you to all our Artistic Director's Fund donors. Without the support of this tremendous group of people we would not have been able to realise these meaningful projects.

Rollin’ on the River

On Tuesday 30 April 2024, Adelaide Festival Centre Foundation went Rollin’ on the River on our Exclusive Cabaret Cruise, led by their captain Virginia Gay before attending the official opening night of Tina – The Tina Turner Musical. Guests experienced performances from Hans and DJ Ruby Chew while being treated to dinner curated by Out in the Paddock and drinks from Coriole Vineyards.

Adelaide Festival Centre Foundation Launch

On Tuesday 20 February we gathered in the Artspace with our friends and supporters to kick off Adelaide Festival Centre Foundation’s 25th anniversary. Guests heard from Polly Dance, Curator Exhibitions and Collections, and Billie Justice Thompson, Artist In School Resident about the latest exhibition ‘Stick Together’."

Adelaide Festival Centre Foundation Supporter Thank You Event

On Monday 27th of November, the Adelaide Festival Centre Foundation held a special event thanking the incredible generosity of our donors and valued supporters. 

Together, we are helping to make the arts accessible to all South Australians. Your support is truly appreciated. 

Adelaide Festival Centre Foundation Gala

On Saturday 26th of August, the Adelaide Festival Centre Foundation hosted a Gala Dinner. With the generous support of our donors, the total amount raised was over $208,300 bringing the total fundraising tally to over $416,600 after being matched by Dr Pamela Wall OAM.

A huge thank you for your attendance, for bidding in the silent and live auctions and for hitting the dance floor. We are so grateful to you all for being there and for celebrating with us.

Artistic Director’s Fund Long Lunch 2023 

On Thursday 27 July, in the Ian and Pamela Wall Gallery at Her Majesty’s Theatre, the Adelaide Festival Centre Foundation celebrated our Artistic Director's Fund donors. Guests enjoyed a curated lunch by Out in the Paddock, panel discussions with our Artistic Directors, plus performances from Eddie Perfect and Amelia Ryan. Donations to the Artistic Director’s Fund support scholarship opportunities for emerging talents, theatre workshops for young people, commissioning exciting new works, free and accessible programs and much more.

Adelaide Festival Centre 50th Celebration Launch for Donors 2023

On the 3rd of April, surrounded by some of our greatest champions, we cracked open the bubbles and launched our 50th birthday year long celebrations, at the very place that it all started back in 1973, the Adelaide Festival Theatre Stage! This is just the start of an exciting year where we are celebrating 50 wonderful years of the Adelaide Festival Centre and the magic of what the next 50 will bring.

Lifetime Giving Donor Recognition Board Launch 2022

Launching our Lifetime Giving Donor Recognition Board in the foyer of the Festival Theatre, thanking and recognising donors whose lifetime contributions total $2500 or more.

On the 15th of June, in the magnificent Speigeltent, we celebrated a truly exceptional group of people, whose philanthropy uniquely joins them together. Donors to the Artistic Directors Fund support new programming initiatives and the continued production of our bold and inclusive festivals and Arts for All programs.
