In its heyday Her Majesty’s Theatre was considered Australia’s finest theatre, and after an extensive restoration it has been returned to its world-class status and is as beautiful as ever.

Her Majesty’s Theatre is located away from the Festival Centre, at 58 Grote Street, Adelaide - in the heart of the CBD.

Combining its original, stunning heritage design with modern architecture, the gorgeous proscenium theatre seats close to 1,500 people across three levels. It offers an unrivalled audience and artist experience including, courtesy of its recent upgrade, improved accessibility.

The venue features:

  • State of the art lighting and sound technology
  • The widest commercial theatre proscenium arch and deepest fly tower in Australia
  • Large rehearsal room (same size as the actual stage)
