Ali McGregor is an award-winning, multi-genre artist spanning opera, cabaret and comedy.

Best known to Adelaide audiences as one of the former Artistic Directors and frequent artists of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, she started her career as a principal soprano with Opera Australia.

This December, Ali will take to the stage for one special performance with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra to perform music from her career. Expect to hear music from her Helpmann Award-winning show Yma Sumac—The Peruvian Songbird, new opera works from Lorelei and The Call, and new classical arrangements of some of the songs from her Alchemy album by INXS, Soft Cell, The Foo Fighters. She will also be joined by a few surprise guests.

From the moment she took to the stage in a shimmery golden robe, McGregor was a diva incarnate. She received a well-deserved standing ovation from a clearly rapturous crowd
