What can be said about John Williamson that hasn’t already been said?
2025 will mark his 55th year in the industry. He will also turn eighty. Twenty-five, fifty-five, eighty. From his humble beginnings as the son of a wheat farmer in the small Victorian Mallee town of Quambatook, it’s quite an achievement.
His live concerts take the audience on a journey across this vast land, moving deftly between larrikin humour and touching pathos. From ‘Cootamundra Wattle’, ‘Cydi’, ‘Three Sons’, ‘A Bushman Can’t Survive’, ‘Rip Rip Woodchip’, ‘Galleries of Pink Galahs’, ‘Raining on the Rock’, ‘Please Don’t Forget Me’ and his calling card, ‘True Blue’, he touches his audience’s hearts, gives them hope and lingers in their memories.

Performance Location: Her Majesty's Theatre
Her Majesty's Theatre is located at 58 Grote Street, Adelaide, which is on the north side of the street. There is no designated drop off area but cars can pause to drop off passengers nearby on Grote Street.
Car parking
There are many parking options around the Grote Street precinct, including:
- Care Park - 6 Pitt St, Adelaide
- UPark Adelaide Central Market - 60 Gouger St, Adelaide (entry also from Grote St)
- Wilson Parking - 23 Franklin Street, Adelaide
Taxi services
There is not a taxi rank directly adjacent to Her Majesty’s Theatre, but the nearest one is just 250m east, outside the Hilton Hotel on Victoria Square.
Public transport
Many busses, including the free bus that loops through the city and North Adelaide, stop nearby as does the tram which stops in Victoria Square just 250m away.
